KRISTEN M. BOYER, MEd, is a Research Associate with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU)’s Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

FOCUS AREAS  |  Competitive Reclaim; Behavioral Health/Juvenile Justice (BHJJ) 

BACKGROUND  |  Kristen spent several years at the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals where she managed various projects in quality/outcomes, behavioral health, HIV/AIDS, and clinical trials. Kristen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University and Master of Arts of Education in Community Health Promotion from Cleveland State University. She completed her master’s practicum at the CWRU School of Medicine Urban Health Initiative where she assisted in the development of a digital health literacy program.

One of the many reasons I am proud to work at the Begun Center is the commitment to the community. I appreciate how the Center improves the lives of individuals, families, and communities across the state through promotion, education, and training.
