chris stormannChris Stormann, Ph.D is a Senior Research Associate with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University’s Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

Currently, Chris’ work with the Begun Center includes areas such as criminal justice (e.g., Cuyahoga County’s Second Chance Act and the Local Incarceration Project), child welfare (e.g., Finding Families Implementation with The Village Network at Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services), Children and Family services (e.g., evaluation services for the Family and Children’s First Council of Cuyahoga County) and adolescent mental health (e.g., Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Service’s SAMHSA awarded expansion grant for implementing systems of care).

Dr. Stormann’s prior experience includes involvement as Lead Evaluator with the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Program developed by the West Side Community House. He has also worked with the Eureka! Ranch as Director of Research, the program and his research receiving profile coverage on CNN, in Advertising Age, and on National Public Radio.

Dr. Stormann has served on the Advisory Board of The National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health Family-to-Family Initiative. He received an “Appreciation of Visionary Work” award at the National System of Care conference and is the co-author of “Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement”, found in the System of Care Handbook, edited by Stroul and Blau (2008), used by states and communities across the country in implementing systems of care.
